The Inspiration
According to Greek mythology, Ananke was the goddess of need, compulsion, and inevitability from the beginning. She was self-formed at the beginning of life in the Orphic cosmogony, an incorporeal, serpentine entity whose outstretched arms encompassed the world.
Our brand came into existence after realizing the need for sustainable streetwear.
Anankie
The idea behind Anankie was conceived the moment our founders realized the lack of sustainable fashion in Pakistan when it came to streetwear. Fast fashion is the norm in our country which not only renders the articles non-wearable after a few washes but also contributes to polluting our planet.
At Anankie, we weave our cloth from the best quality yarn, get it dyed and spun into cloth at international standard eco-labeled facilities. The finished product is of export quality, soft to touch, and guaranteed to last longer.
